Who would be the audience for your media product ?
Within our fim the all the actors are teenagers from ages 12-18, and are from both black and white orientated background, we have shown what typical white famlies are portrayed as in the south region of london. We have also shown what the concept of a teenagers life is like; wanting to go partys, have a good time and having arguements with mums. Looking and researching about teenagers and their real life situations and havng our actors at such a close age range we decided to link the two together so our audience could relate to our film and situations that go on in it. Overall our target audience is any race of teenagers but black and white teenagers in south london, this target audience is ideal because in other areas it not always easy for races to mix and to show that within the film could have teenagers want to influence it.

Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progession from it to the full product

Looking at my preliminary task and comparing it with my final produce, I have learnt how to be more steady with the camera so the filming doesnt look so bad, I have learnt how to cut more precisely so theres no jump cuts in between scenes and have also learnt how to use Ulead programming to put our film altogether and to add effects and frames that needed to be added.

How did you attract your audience ?

First we thought about mise-en-scene; the costume, the setting and dialogue. The costumes we made look urban and not too glamorous because it would fit the message that were trying to put across to the viewers, thhe end result for costumes was a dressed down image with jeans, hoodies and regular everyday wear, we tried to add a bit of colour so it would contrast with the beginning of the film. The dialogue was a combination of south london accent with south london slang that the teenagers would use. This gave a sense of recognition that people do focus look at theie area and realise whats going on in their community. The setting being the block of flats on a estate gave more of an impact on the life of South london teenagers
What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why ?

Small british media companies would distribute our product because it is quite a low budget film. BBC films, Kintop pictures and stealth films would be ideal for our product because they are all british and have been apart of films that are similar to ours, Local actors and actresses would be usedto show the realness within the story. Local cinemas within London such as Greenwich, Bromley, Croydon and Central London is where our film would more likely to be shown because it wouldn't have much publicity and recognition such as the big film companies but enough for the local society to acknowledge the film and to be interested. The british film I looked at was Bullet Boy. Bullet Boy was directed and written by Saul Dibbs and co written by Catherine Johnson, Its was released on 8th April 2005, The film setting was in Hackney, East London and starred well known britsh actors such as Ashley Walters, Curtis Walker and Leon Black. The film is about A character called Ricky coming out of prison and wanting to do better for himself but when he see his friend Wisdom involved in gang related situation he is easily drawn back in , while this is all going on his younger brother Curtis, is watching every going on and admiring it. Thsi was a good film to look into becaus eit had similarities to our product; being from a urban orientated cluture .
